Connie McGarvey is a recent graduate from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a certificate in event leadership. 

 

Connie’s passion lies in the event industry. From May through December of 2019, she interned at Elmwood Park Zoo as its event planning and operations intern. There she prepared the clients for events and assisted with setting up all event spaces. She also utilized different types of event documents, including Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), contracts and tracking sheets. 

 

For the 2019-2020 academic year, Connie was awarded an “Outstanding Digital Committee Member” award from Temple’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). During that semester, she co-founded a social media spotlight campaign, PRoud Interns. This campaign gives chapter members a chance to showcase their internships. She also utilized her creativity in creating social media graphics for the chapter’s Instagram page.

 

Connie currently resides in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
